Eight Low Calorie Super Fruits for Weight Loss


Weight loss isn’t weight loss without fruits. Fruits are very beneficial in weight loss and are very low in calories’, they help enhance any weight loss program. So instead of the ordinary snack that we are always used to like for example a chocolate bar substitute it with a fruit and reap the real benefits.

Research upon research have proven the great health benefit of fruits, each fruit has its own health benefit. Here are a list of eight super fruit and their benefits for weight loss and a healthier you;

Peach– the calories’ intake for one peach is 37 combined with 1.6 grams of fiber. They are rich in vitamins, minerals and beneficial plant compound. Peaches offer a small amount of magnesium and are packed with antioxidants which are beneficial plant compound, these helps your body against aging and diseases. A fresh peach has more antioxidant

Strawberries- they are packed with 50 calories’ and 2.5 grams of fiber, strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese. They are very rich in antioxidants and plant compounds. These plants compound contains benefits for blood sugar control and your overall health.

Grapefruits– one medium grape fruit is packed with 37 calories’ and 1.7 grams if fiber. This is a tropical fruit which can either be sweet or sour. Its contains antioxidants and fiber, research has proven that health benefits including weight loss and low risk of heart disease are associated

Apricots– also known as Armenian plums are very nutritious and packed with 34 calories’ and 1.5 grams of fiber. Health benefits such as improved digestion and eye health are associated with its consumption.

Watermelon– This fruit contains per cup with 0.4 grams of fiber.it is rich in vitamin C, A and many plant compounds. Like water this fruit keeps the body hydrated.

Papaya Pieces– packed with 54 calories’ and 2.5 grams of fiber, it is very rich in fiber, antioxidants and vitamin C. It prevents cholesterol build up in your arteries. It helps with weight loss. The fiber keeps you feeling full meaning you eat less which would definitely equate to losing a few pounds.

Orange– with 47 calories’ and 2.4 grams of fiber this fruit belongs to a large group of fruits known as Citrus Fruits. They are a healthy source of fiber, vitamin C, thiamine, and antioxidants, they are composed of carbs and water with little protein, fat and few calories’.

Cantaloupe– this fruit is colorful and sweet packed with 56 calories’ and 1.3 grams of fiber. It is low in calories’ and full of nutrients that helps with lowering the risk of certain diseases. The most potent vitamin in this fruit is A and C and it helps in maintaining strong and healthier hair.

    1. Excellent article up here. Getting to see fruits with very low calories constituent is a very great addition since mist of the meals around these days are of very high calories. These would help in weigh loss a lot. If incorporated into weight loss diet plans. Seriously, I never knee such fruits as watermelon could have a constituent of such a very low amount of calories. Great post and I will surely consider consuming this fruits more often.

Apart from the strawberry, orange and the water melon, I don’t get myself aquainted with the other oranges regularly but now that you have mentioned them, I think I have to try them out. The apricot especially and peach are fruits I hardly take at all. I’ll definitely join this foods with my meals to help reduce calories, thanks a lot.

      Obesity is the biggest challenge and many people struggle to reduce their weight. And when we search online there are a lot of products and programs on weight loss. It’s really confusing which one to follow or buy.

    4. As a fitness trainer, I know the essence of taking fruits and I totally agree with your list. Many people over look fruits alot and most people say they have allergies to one fruit or the other. Complementing exercise and good fruits is the best way to lose weight and I think you have written a list good for people to see, I’ll share this post for more people to see.

    5. Among all food choices for weight loss, fruits are most enjoyable with its rich, delicious taste. It fills the stomach and suppress the feeling of hunger. In most countries, natural supplements are made out of these fruits. They make concentrated drink, supplement or dietary capsule and even tea. Companies would have it patented, approved by Food and Drug Authorities and sell it. I love all the fruits you suggested for weight loss. However, fresh apricots, grapefruits and peaches are hard to find in our country. It’s really expensive too if you happen to find one. Cleansing diet is the best way to use these fruits into action. In my own opinion, Fruit diet is so far the best and most enjoyable way of loosing weight because it’s healthy, delicious and can actually fill your stomach.     6. Reading through the list tells me how much effort I need to put into my eating behaviour. I can’t even remember the last time I took pawpaw, orange and pineapple for my meals. I guess I’m building up more calories in my system than I should which is not a good sign.

    8. Hi Sherman, Thanks for this healthy-helpful post. I am a big fan of Peach and glad to see that peach packed with antioxidants and a small amount of magnesium, but as it’s a seasoned fruits I some often take it trough in caned. Cantaloupe also is my favorite fruit,THAT’S SO TASTY! as well as Pineapple which is a great fruits with full of antibiotics to prevent inflation.Thanks for have mentioned to Papaya too. Honestly I didn’t know abut its all benefits at all. it’s amazing to know that It prevents cholesterol build up in our arteries. Over all, Since then I’ve decided to consume more fruits and less snacks, I always fell much better, and my body is at its high performance as well.

      And I totally agree. Weight loss isn’t weight loss without fruits. And you couldn’t be more on point about them being awesome snacks. I haven’t had a bar of chocolate in ages. It’s an amazing substitute. Plus, fruits were the very core reason why I was able to give up processed sugar entirely. So, I bet many people don’t understand how much power’s in them.

      Of the ones you listed, I can’t wait to add more cantaloupe to my diet. Had no idea about its benefits to hair health.
